What Reasons Should Be Given In Order To Get a Good Laptop at Work?

Often in work, you encounter situations where the computer you’re using is either too old or too slow, reducing your work efficiency. You may want to switch to a new computer. Alternatively, if your company didn’t provide a computer originally, and you want to apply for a new one, figuring out the reason is a challenge. What reasons should you give to successfully apply for a new laptop? Below are some of my own manager’s summaries, which everyone can refer to.

Improving work efficiency and productivity

A high-performance laptop can significantly enhance my work efficiency and productivity. A fast processor and ample memory allow me to process complex tasks more quickly, reducing waiting times and enabling faster completion of work while improving its quality.

Supporting new job requirements and technology

In my work at the company, I’ve found that many tasks require handling more complex data analysis, design, and multimedia content. A new laptop would better support these new job requirements, ensuring I can successfully complete various tasks without being hindered by inadequate hardware performance.

Supporting remote work and mobility.

Sometimes, due to work requirements, I need to travel, work from home, or engage in remote work. Therefore, I would like to apply for a laptop to enable me to efficiently complete tasks anytime and anywhere, without being hindered by device limitations that could affect my work schedule.

Security and data protection

The current laptop version I am using is too outdated, which poses security risks for the company. New generation laptops typically come equipped with advanced security features such as fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, and disk encryption technologies. These features can better protect company data from unauthorized access and theft, safeguarding company privacy, and also enhancing work efficiency.
